Tampa Real Estate Market Continues to Improve

Buying Tampa Real Estate is OKThe Tampa Real Estate Market has been going strong for some time now.  Banks that own property out right are trying to “dump” the property as fast as they can…but don’t be fooled.  Their asking price is pretty much where the offer needs to be.  They may want to get rid of the property, but it really is not costing them all that much to hold it for an extra month or so at that point so don’t think you can walk in and low ball an offer and walk away with the property.

Those that understand that concept, are getting some really great deals right now and those that have been waiting for the right time, now is the best time while interest rates stay low.  When making a decision to jump in and buy, keep in mind that it is more than just the price of the home, it is also the interest rate that you get at the time of application.  You may pay more for a home but have a lower interest rate so therefore your monthly payments are lower than if your home is lower priced but the interest rates are higher, just keep that in mind.

Homes are moving at an accelerated rate right now so if you are in the market to move up in size, down size or pick up a beach house, act fast cause time is a wasting!

  1. Hey Robert, Great to hear that the Tampa real estate market is busy. Things are starting to get that way here in Morristown as well.

  2. The Raleigh real estate market is holing it’s own right now. There are a lot of good deals out there and I tell all my clients that now is the best times to buy. There is a lot of supply and mortgage rates are still very competitive. One issue I am seeing is homes not appraising for the contract price. This is a direct result of the previous bubble. I am happy to here Tampa market is strong.

    It has been reported that drywall imported between 2004-2006 from certain areas in China, can release sulfur-like odorous components. These compounds can corrode air conditioning coils and other copper-bearing materials, causing them to be replaced repeatedly. It has been determined that the problem is related to presence of iron disulfide. There have been reports that large quantities of drywall produced in China were kept on sea barges for months awaiting permission for importation to the USA. This drywall has a higher than typical density and a higher propensity to off-gas sulfur compounds.

    Drywall is usually made of gypsum (hydrated calcium sulfate). Therefore, sulfur is one of the main components present in the sample. All drywall has sulfur in its elemental composition; therefore the odor is not explained by an analysis of the total sulfur content.
