Fay Fizzles and Tampa Real Estate Market gets back to Work

Now that Fay has moved on and basically nothing happened to the Tampa Bay Area (I think I may have seen a single gust of wind up to 20mph and no rain), it is time for the market to get back to work.  The Tampa Real Estate market continues to move at a fast pace with many deals available in both the standard market and the Tampa Foreclosures market.  The problem with this state is when there is a storm within a specific box around the area, it is not possible to write an insurance policy which could potentially put a hold on a closing by up to a week or more.  There is nothing you can do about it and the Florida real estate contract holds contingencies regarding this exact scenario.

So if you are in the market to purchase real estate in the Tampa Bay area, make sure you keep a watchful eye on the sky.  Your closing may be delayed, at least until hurricane season ends which should be another couple of months!
