Boaters Love Tampa Bay in Any Weather

I love boating but I don’t own a boat.  I will however jump at the opportunity when someone asks if I would like to go for a spin around the bay or for a day of fishing.  In either event, I have noticed that during the weekends, the various boat launches in and around Tampa Bay are crowded with parked cars and trailers in tow.  People don’t seem to go very far, and they just love to sit on the boat with friends while enjoying a few drinks and good music.  Also, the high gas prices haven’t seem to slow down people with the use of their boats.

Boating is one of those hobbies that you either love or hate.  Florida has more boat owners than anyone else on the planet.  Since I have lived here, I have been out on the water about 6 times and loved it each and every time.  There is something about being afloat in the bay, no traffic, no stress, just wide open water, a beer in hand, and a few fish to catch…nothing like it.  If you don’t live here, you won’t understand, but if you have a chance to take a trip out on the water while here visiting, you won’t be sorry!
